Vehicle Exhaust Extraction systems from R&B Industrial Ltd.
Exhaust attachments
Offering an exclusive range of exhaust attachments which enable extraction from a wide range of vehicle exhaust types, ensuring hazardous fumes are extracted at source; providing a range of products suitable for numerous applications especially stationary and moving vehicles.
Control panels
Our extraction system control panels range from simple low cost manual start with run-on timer to automatic start from when the vehicle engine starts running. Systems can also automatically start from ‘call-out’ type systems, for instance in fire / ambulance stations etc.
Rail and track system
We have developed a cost effective range of vehicle exhaust extraction systems, utilising a rail / track system, which allows the automatically releasing exhaust nozzle to track the vehicles until it exits the appliance bay.
Hose reels
Ceiling, roof or wall mountable hose reels with a variety of vehicle exhaust attachments, depending upon application. Standard diameter flex hose: ø76, ø100, ø125 or ø152mm which can be supplied with a motor for automatic reel extension, or manual operation. Including automatic / adjustable spindle stop.
Magnetic Systems
Offering an exclusive range of exhaust attachments which enable extraction from a wide range of vehicle exhaust types, ensuring hazardous fumes are extracted at source; providing a range of products suitable for numerous applications especially stationary and moving vehicles.
Crush recoverable hose
We have a wide range of high temperature crush recoverable hoses held in-stock.
Overhead canopies
Where a track system is not suitable or is unable to be fitted a canopy can be fitted.
COSHH LEV testing and
servicing
Offering COSHH LEV testing and servicing for all types of vehicle extraction systems; compiling a comprehensive report to your company, involving a full inspection of the systems condition and suitability, pressure readings and air flow.
Low level & high level
exhaust extraction
Designing and manufacturing space saving exhaust extraction chambers for smaller areas and areas with restricted space.
Pneumatic vehicle
The team at R&B Industrial Ltd. can service and repair all types of pneumatic, magnetic or mechanical vehicle exhaust extraction systems, including plymovent, nederman flextraction and more.
Key Information
- COSHH LEV testing and servicing available including magnetic and pneumatic systems
- Comprehensive reporting produced following testing and servicing, including recommendations of how to make your system more cost effective and environmentally friendly
- Various types of mechanically ventilated extract systems available for specific vehicles and applications
Can we stop exhaust fumes being created in the workplace?
We all know that exhaust fumes are detrimental to the planet and to our health. However, they are unavoidable by-product of operating a combustion engine powered vehicle. Alternatives such as electric or even hydrogen powered vehicles are not viable for many businesses. This could be because the technology simply doesn’t exist, yet for certain applications or doesn’t meet the business requirements. Therefore, use of the combustion engines and subsequently production of harmful exhaust gases is currently unavoidable.
The most common engine type used in commercial and industrial applications is diesel. Diesel engines have recently been in the spotlight as it fumes are suggested to be more harmful to humans than its petrol counterpart.
Diesel fumes are carcinogenic, so the correct type of vehicle exhaust extraction systems is essential for people exposed to diesel exhaust fumes.
Ranging from a diesel exhaust ‘bolt-on filter’ to various types of mechanically ventilated extract systems for specific vehicles and applications, our team have the skills to design, manufacture and install the vehicle exhaust extraction systems that suit your requirements.
Find out more on our Vehicle Exhaust Extraction systems below
Diesel fumes are a mixture of gases, vapours, liquid aerosols and substances containing the products of combustion including:
- Carbon
- Nitrogen
- Water
- Carbon monoxide
- Aldehydes
- Oxides of nitrogen
- And more.

What can R & B industrial do to improve control of exhaust emissions in your workplace?
Chemicals and particulates mixed as exhaust fume can cause a nasty cocktail that at workplace level can affect human heath if not controlled effectively. That is where R & B Industrial can help. We specialise in offering the following vehicle exhaust extraction services:
Design and Install
We design and install bespoke exhaust extraction systems
Innovative exhaust solutions
We build in-house our own design of exhaust clip ends- this is an effective, simple, and more cost-effective solution than many alternatives. We can adjust our design to suit a huge range of different exhaust sizes, styles and exit locations
Supply and installation of exhaust extraction parts
We supply, install and service all types of exhaust extraction systems including Nederman and Plymovent. We also stock crush recoverable, high temperature hose in a range of different lengths and sizes
Testing and servicing of vehicle exhaust extraction systems
We have a team of experienced, trained, P601 qualified, LEV service and Test engineers that can test all types of exhaust extraction systems. Compiling a comprehensive report. Detailing system condition, pressure & air flow readings, as well as further recommendations. We test and service exhaust extraction systems for a number of the UK’s Fire authorities
Workplace Monitoring and vehicle exhaust emissions
We have a team of highly qualified and experienced occupational hygienists that can provide extensive monitoring for gasses and particulates. They can observe short- and long-term exposure levels arising from exhaust fume. This can be particularly helpful in assessing if vehicle exhaust extraction is needed or if the system currently installed is working effectively. Following lab analysis of the results a report providing findings and recommendation is produced.
The quantity and composition of diesel fumes in your workplace may vary depending on many factors such as:
- The quality of diesel fuel used
- The type of engine
- The state of engine tuning
- The fuel pump setting
- Exposure to diesel fumes can impact your health; irritating your eyes and respiratory tract. However, a vehicle exhaust extraction system can help keep the air clear and minimise the risk to your health.
R&B Industrial Ltd.’s expertise in vehicle exhaust extraction systems
R&B Industrial design, supply and install a wide range of vehicle exhaust extraction systems particularly with the Fire Service which ensure hazardous exhaust fumes are extracted at source.
